The Earth Day event to be held on April 19 at the Oregon Gardens is                                   sponsored by Marion County Environmental Service, the Oregon Gardens, Izaac Walton League and others.

On April 2, the Marion County Board of Commissioners presented a certificate and a $100 gift card from Fred Meyers to Adeline for her win.

The poster contest was open to students in all K–12 programs and schools. Over 100 entries were submitted from students throughout the area.

The panel of judges who selected Adeline’s poster were so stuck by how well the poster was done, and found it pretty stunning considering her age. They felt her work best fit the spirit of this year’s theme, “protecting and preserving our planet.”

All the top entries will be on display in the Grand Hall at the Oregon Gardens on the day of the Earth Day Fair.
